SGCA to host first Community Meeting for Rezoning of Fairmount Ave
The SGCA will host members of Philadelphia's Department of Planning and Development and residents from the Spring Garden and surrounding areas for a community meeting regarding the rezoning of Fairmount Avenue on Thursday, November 12th, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at St. Andrew Church Hall at 19th and North Streets.
Part of a larger city-wide effort, the rezoning initiative along Fairmount Avenue, west of Broad Street, aims to address issues and outdated zoning to better accommodate future development along the Corridor. The City Planning Commission released a recent blog post further explaining their goals, along with a survey to gather information from residents.
The upcoming meeting at St. Andrew will be an "open house", and residents are encouraged to stop by at any time throughout the 2-hour meeting to engage with presentation materials and provide feedback.
